Escritura visual como una parte inseparable de la acción creativa.

Independientemente del soporte elegido, el artista escribe sus historias con la meticulosidad de un autor, para compartir el hormigueo en su cabeza, lúcido ante la imposibilidad de guardarlo para sí.

Su escritura se convierte en una forma de desarrollar una intervención personal y una lucha vital, revelando además una prueba de autoexistencia y concepción.

Estableciendo el punto de partida en sus preguntas, contradicciones o vaivenes inconscientes, el artista inicia un viaje que a veces le resultará sombrío y, otras, atractivo. Elige una trama o entramado, establece su método de expresión, construye su propia narrativa. Convierte la acción en lenguaje.

Llegados a este punto, el lenguaje está siendo transferido a través de la imagen y las palabras o los signos van perdiendo su importancia. Al contrario de aquellos que no van más allá de las aguas poco profundas o corren tras falsos fulgores, los que continúan su viaje con apetito, sin aborrecerse a sí mismos ni a su propia obra, son candidatos a dar la vuelta al mundo varias veces o a sostener el espejo para aquellos que no se abren a la luz del día.

Algunos dicen más, otros menos. Cuando la acción remplaza las palabras, la escritura se visualiza. La diversidad de la expresión proviene de la naturaleza de la acción. Algunos crean, construyen y abarcan todo el aire que la respiración les permite. Por esa razón, algunos dicen más y otros menos. Sin embargo, si siguen sinceramente las señales, a pesar de la variedad de los caminos elegidos, pueden trascender su límites personales y regresar a un lugar donde las manos se encuentran con la mente, sus sospechas con su curiosidad.

Cuando acaba el proceso, la acción creativa encuentra su voz. Al igual que la habilidad, el apetito y la persistencia del artista y sus palabras-por-decir crecen, el acto de escribir florece también, cambia su apariencia y crea un resultado único, como es el caso de cada obra solemnemente ejecutada.

Cuando el círculo se amplía como los círculos en el mar, la obra es invitada a permanecer bajo la luz de otros escritores que la interpretan y quieren comunicarla a otros. Así, el proceso de la exposición empieza con la colaboración entre el artista y el comisario.

Escritor/a… Yazar… Nivîskar es la palabra “escritor” en tres idiomas y el título de una exposición con tres artistas que persiguen lenguajes individuales en sus narrativas. El subtítulo, “acciones creativas, procesos de escritura” se refiere a la diversidad del acto de crear y las intercontexiones que tienen lugar en el campo artístico. Estas conexiones pueden darse entre el artista y la obra, la producción y la presentación así como entre artistas de distintas disciplinas, los comisarios y el público.

Pienso que la autoría no es revelante únicamente en la literatura, intuyo que “escribir como un acto inseparable de la acción creativa” puede ser una frase secundaria que complementa el título. Por esto motivo, la he elegido como el título de esta presentación.

La exposición rinde homenaje a los artistas que desarrollan, convierten o coleccionan signos, sea cual sea su soporte y la forma narrativa que prefieran. Además vincula diferentes aspectos de la acción creativa que conllevan de forma innata procesos de escritura.

INTRODUCTION

Visual Writing As An Inseparable Part of the Creative Action

Regardless of the chosen medium, the artists write their stories with the meticulousness of an author to share the bugs nibbling their head with the insight of the impossibility of keeping them for themselves.

Their writing becomes a way of developing a personal intervention and a life struggle, as well as it reveals a proof of self-existence and conception.

Establishing a point of departure with their questions, contradictions or unconscious flows, the artists initiate a journey which would sometimes be dark for them and sometimes eye-catching. They choose a plot or a framework, determine a method of expression,and form their own narrative. They convert action into a language.

At this point, once the language is transferred through visuals, words or signs lose their importance. On the contrary to those who cannot outreach the shallow seas or run after fake glows, those who continue their journey with an appetite, without becoming dull in themselves and in their work, become candidates to spin around the world a few times or to hold a mirror for those who see no daylight.

Some speak more and some speak less. When the action replaces words, the writing is visualized.

The diversity of expression comes from the nature of the action. Artists create, build and embrace as much as the breath fills their chest. For that reason some tell more, some tell less.

However, if they sincerely follow the signs, despite the variety of the chosen paths, they transcend their personal limits and come back in a place where their hand meets with their mind, their suspicions with their curiosity.

When the process comes to an end, the creative action finds its voice. As the ability, the appetite and the endurance of the artist and their words-to-say grow, the act of writing also flourishes, changes its appearance and creates a unique output as it is the case with every work solemnly executed.

When the circle gets larger like the circles in the sea, the work is invited to stand under the lights by other writers who interpret it and who want to communicate it to others. So, the exhibition process begins with the collaboration of the artist and the curator.

Escritor/a… Yazar… Nivîskar means “writer” in three languages and makes the title of an exhibition by seven visual artists who are in the pursuit of individual languages in their narratives. The subtitle “creative actions, writing processes” refers to the diversity of the performative act of creating and the intermingled connections within the artistic field. These connections can be between the artist and the work, the production and the presentation and among the artists from different disciplines, the curators and the audience.

As I think that the authorship is not relevant to literature only, I presume that “writing as an inseparable part of the creative action” can be a secondary phrase that complements the title. Therefore I have chosen it as my title to this introduction.

The exhibition salutes visual artists who develop, convert and collect signs, no matter what their media are and the form of the narrative they prefer. It also bonds different aspects of the creative action carrying innate writing processes in them.

SUNUŞ

Yaratıcı Eylemin Ayrılmaz Bir Parçası Olarak Görsel Yazarlık

Sanatçı, seçtiği mecra ne olursa olsun, bir edebiyatçı titizliğiyle kendi öykülerini yazar. Bunu kafasını kemiren böcekleri paylaşmak için de, yapmazsa duramayacağını bildiği için de yapar. Yazarlığı, varoluşun ve var edişin kanıtı olduğu kadar hayata karşı kendi müdahalesini geliştirmenin, kendi mücadelesini vermenin bir yolu olur.

Sorgulamaları, çelişkileri ya da şuursuz akışlarıyla bir çıkış noktası yaratıp, kimi zaman karanlık, kimi zaman gözünü alan bir yolculuğa koyulur. Kendisine bir kurgu seçer, ifade biçimi belirler, anlatısını oluşturur. Eylemi dile döker.

Dil görselmiş, sözelmiş ya da işaretlerden geçmiş, bir noktada önemini yitirir. Sığ kıyıları aşamayanların ya da sahte bir parlaklığın peşinde koşanların aksine, kendini ya da yaptıklarını kanıksamadan, alışıp sıradanlaşmadan iştahla yolculuğa devam edenler dünyanın etrafını bir kaç tur dönmeye ya da gün görmemişlere ayna tutmaya aday olur.

Kimi daha az, kimi daha çok konuşur. Eylem sözün yerini alınca yazı görselleşir.

İfadenin çeşitliliği eylemin doğasından… Kişi göğsünü dolduran nefesi kadar yaratır, kurar, sarar. O yüzden kimi daha az, kimi daha çok anlatır.

Yine de, yolu nasıl olursa olsun, samimiyetle işaretlerin peşine düşerse, eliyle zihninin, kuşkularıyla merakının buluştuğu yerden kendi sınırlarının dışına gider, gelir.

Sürecin sonuna geldiğinde yaratıcı eylem kendi dilini bulmuş olur. Sanatçının yetisi, iştahı, sabrı ve söyleyecek sözü çoğaldıkça yazma eylemi gelişir, kılık değiştirir, ciddiyetle yapılan bütün işlerde olduğu gibi biricik bir sonuç doğurur.

Suya atılmış taş misali oluşturduğu halka büyüdüğünde, onun işaretlerini okuyan ve yazdıklarını anlatmak isteyen başka yazarların yardımıyla yapıt ışıkların altına çıkarılır. Böylece, sanatçıyla küratörün işbirliğiyle sergi süreci başlar.

Escritor/a… Yazar… Nivîskar üç dilde aynı anlama geliyor ve yazma eyleminde kendi dillerini seçen yedi görsel sanatçının grup sergisine adını veriyor. Alt başlık olarak kullanılan “Yaratıcı eylemler, yazma süreçleri” edimsel (performatif) bir eylem olarak yaratmanın çeşitliliğine ve sanat alanında içiçe geçen bağlantılara gönderme yapıyor. Bu bağlantılar sanatçıyla yapıt arasında, üretimle sergileme arasında ya da farklı disiplinlerden sanatçılarla küratörler ve izleyiciler arasında gelişebilir.

Yazarlığın, yalnızca edebiyatla ilişkili olmadığını düşünen biri olarak kanımca serginin ne hakkında olduğuna dair yazacağım ilk cümle “Yaratıcı Eylemin Ayrılmaz Bir Parçası Olarak Görsel Yazarlık” olur. Bu yüzden onu bu sunuş yazısının başlığı olarak seçtim.

Sergi, kullandıkları mecra ve tercih ettikleri anlatım biçimi ne olursa olsun işaretler geliştiren, çeviren ve biriktirenlere, bu anlamda yazarlığa soyunan görsel sanatçılara da selam yolluyor ve içinde yazma süreçleri taşıyan yaratıcı eylemlerin farklı yönleri arasında bir bağ oluşturmaya girişiyor.
